American Indian Child Resource Center

Dear Friends of AICRC, Our agency has been in existence since 1974. Our agency's mission is to keep American Indian families intact and strong with American Indian culture a presence in their lives. To succeed in this work we need the assistance of volunteers and contributors to the effort. We reach out to the community and ask for your support. Tough economic times have put many non-profits in a precarious financial situation. Government funding has significantly decreased due to strict budget cuts. Private foundations have been generous to our agency, but ultimately they want to see us self-sustaining, an impossible feat without a steady source of income to rely upon. We know that having a strong development program is the only way to ensure the vitality and sustainability of our agency and the much-needed services we provide to the local Indian community. Currently we are looking for volunteers for our powwow to be held on December 6th and 7th. There is much to be done before and at the event, call or email if you are interested. Thank you for caring about the Bay Area’s American Indian children and families. If you are interested in finding out more about joining our effort, please contact me at (510) 208-1870 ext. 305 or via email at aicrc@aicrc.org or mary@aicrc.org. Respectfully, Mary Trimble Norris (Oglala Lakota)
